Leadership

My name is Jana Thomas, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Wildflower Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. I bring 21 years of experience in District 2, where I have had the opportunity to serve as a teacher, literacy coach, and administrator. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about building strong relationships, fostering a positive and supportive school culture, and partnering with families to ensure student success. I am deeply committed to high-quality instruction and collaborative leadership, and I am excited to continue serving the District 2 community in this new role alongside the students, staff, and families of Wildflower.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family especially my five grandchildren, who keep me laughing and grounded. I love being outdoors and camping whenever I can, as well as curling up with a good book to unwind. These moments help recharge me and remind me of the importance of balance, connection, and joy which are values I carry with me into my work each day as an educator and school leader.
