From our Front Office:
Welcome back from Thanksgiving Break! Now that the winter cold has set in, make sure to check your email, texts, voicemails, or the D2 app for information about delays and cancellations. Feel free to check in with the office to make sure the phone numbers and email addresses on your Infinite Campus are up-to-date and ready to receive those messages - or ask about connecting to the Infinite Campus app to check and edit this at any time!
There's only three weeks of school until we enter our Winter Break and everyone here at Wildflower has plans to make the most out of this time before the new year! With awards ceremonies and report card distribution approaching in January, we want to make sure all of our students get a chance to shine, even while they settle back in after our last break. Good attendance is key to maintaining academic performance, especially in times like these, so make sure your student is present and on time as often as possible. We will be continuing our G.O.A.T. award this month, given to the class who has the best attendance each week, so we hope every student can do their part and help their class win!

From our Kindergarten Teachers:
Kindergarten has been working on sounding out words in reading. In math, we are learning about measurement. For the holiday season, we've welcomed one of Santa's elves into our classrooms to help encourage positive behavior as we approach our Winter break. Our classroom parties will be on the 19th, the last day before break. We will send home a Sign Up Genius sheet next week for any parents who would like to bring snacks and sweets. Please be sure your student continues to turn in homework weekly in these last few school days before the new year. Thank you for your support!
- Ms. Pennington, Kindergarten teacher
From our TAP Team:
Welcome to January! This month, we are diving into the end of the alphabet with a focus on the letters X, Y, and Z. In math, students are working hard on counting groups and exploring the different ways to make 9 and 10. We are also prioritizing social-emotional wellness by practicing how to identify our feelings and selecting the best tools to help us work through them. Our literacy journey continues with our unit on fairy tales and folk tales, where we are sharpening our skills in identifying characters, plot, setting, and the central conflict in every story. It is going to be a wonderful month of growth and discovery!
